Monthly Loan Match

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about what we do, what lenders do, and what a request involves.

Is Monthly Loan Match a lender?

No. Monthly Loan Match is a free service that passes your loan request to lenders and lending partners. Lenders make every credit decision, set every rate and fee, and fund and service the loan.

Is Monthly Loan Match legitimate?

Yes. It is a real request-matching website at monthlyloanmatch.com. We never charge you a fee, and our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Disclaimer explain exactly how your information is used. Always read the lender's agreement before you accept an offer.

Do you charge an upfront fee?

Never. No one connected with Monthly Loan Match will ask you to pay, buy a gift card or send a wire transfer to get a loan. If someone does, it is a scam: do not pay, and report it at reportfraud.ftc.gov.

What kind of loan will I be offered?

Installment loans: a set amount repaid in equal monthly payments over 3 to 84 months, with APRs from 4.95% to 35.95%. These are not payday loans or paycheck advances, and they do not roll over.

How much can I request?

Between $200 and $5,000. The amount a lender actually offers depends on its review of your income, credit and state, and may be lower than you asked for.

What do I need to request?

Generally: be 18 or older, a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, have a checking account in your name, a regular source of income, and a working phone number and email address. Each lender has its own requirements, so meeting these does not guarantee approval.

Will this hurt my credit score?

Sending a request through this site does not affect your score. A lender that reviews it may check your credit, and some checks are hard inquiries that can lower your score slightly.

What will my monthly payment be?

It depends on the amount, term and APR your lender offers. As an illustration, $2,000 over 24 months at 19.99% APR is $101.78 a month. Our payment estimator lets you try other numbers.

How fast could I get the money?

If you accept an offer, the lender sends funds to your bank account. Some lenders fund as soon as the next business day; timing depends on the lender and your bank and is not guaranteed.

Do I have to accept an offer?

No. A request is not a contract. You can review any offer and decline it at no cost.

Can I pay my loan off early?

Many installment lenders allow it and you may save interest. Check your loan agreement or ask the lender whether any prepayment fee applies.

Who do I contact about my loan?

Your lender. We cannot see your loan account, payments or balance. For questions about this website or your data, use our Contact page.

Is my information protected?

Pages are served over encrypted HTTPS. We share your request with lenders and partners so they can review it, as explained in our Privacy Policy, which also explains how to opt out of marketing.

Is this available in every state?

No. Lenders only operate where they are permitted, so residents of some states may not be matched.
